Another type of wood that we use is local Colorado Beetle Kill wood. Beetle Kill is unique to Colorado and is the product of a symbiotic relationship between blue stain fungus and bark beetles that in the wood. Beetle Kill wood is entirely safe as the kiln drying process completely removes the blue stain fungus from the wood.
